Workshop Contents:-

COLOURWORK -  Colourwork including Fairisle/intarsia knitting and slip-stitch colourwork

LEARN TO CROCHET - For compete beginners, learn the basic techniques and make a granny square.

INTERMEDIATE CROCHET - reading patterns including charts, understanding UK/US terminology.

FINISHING TECHNIQUES  - different methods of sewing up, picking up stitches, and blocking, as well as some different cast ons, buttonholes, 3-needle bind off and short rows. Want more? You’ll also learn loads of tips and tricks from an experienced knitter, to make your garments look the best they can.

KNIT-A-POTTAMUS - If you’ve seen the hippo in the shop, his maker Oliver will show you how to knit him (well, a smaller version!).

Not suitable for beginners, you will learn ‘magic loop’ and crochet pick up ‘join as you go’ knitting.

LEARN TO CABLE - Learn to knit cables, big,small and twist as well as reading charts by making a cosy cowl.

CHRISTMAS KNITS - Make baubles, bunting and other festive decorations

LEARN TO KNIT LACE -Make a lace scarf with a beaded picot edge, whilst learning the basics of lace knitting - yarn overs, different decreases, and chart reading.

KNITTING IN THE ROUND - learn the techniques to make garments without seams, knitting back and fronts at the same time.

STEEKING - Add to your knitting in the round techniques, steeking is the process of including in your knitting the ability to cut to make an opening for cardigan, or to add sleeves. it is particularly useful for fair isle knitting.

CONTINENTAL KNITTING - Learn this alternative method of knitting to maximise your speed and make switching between knit and purl a breeze. Moss stitch here we come..........

SOCK WORKSHOPS - Basic beginners sock making or

                                                       Toe up socks and master class covering different heel and cuff methods and magic loop.

TUNISIAN CROCHET - Almost a mix of knitting and crochet using a very unusual hook (provided)
